    Identi.CA

    http://www.theapp.net/ 2008/ 07/ identica.php

This is also being posted at a couple of my other sites as well. So there is a new Twitter clone out there called Identi.ca Still too early to see if it's going to be used more than Twitter but I signed up and will try to start posting updates. Twitter has had so many issues over the last few months that there was bound to be something coming along.

SquawkBox - July 3, 2008 - Greg Clinton with Talk Soup, and a conversation about identi.ca

    http://saunderslog.com/ 2008/ 07/ 03/ squawkbox-july-3-2008-greg-clinton-with-ta…

On today’s show we had special guest Greg Clinton, developer of a new application called Talk Soup that lets people easily start podcasting. Available at the URL http://talk.appspot.com/ , the application involves two people simply calling each other, talking for some period of time and then at the end of the call both agreeing to share the content on the web.

    Google App Engine

    http://www.terminally-incoherent.com/ blog/ 2008/ 06/ 26/ google-app-engine/

Google App Engine June 26th, 2008 11:32 AM by Luke Maciak When the Google App Engine first launched I didn’t really have much to say about this. It was neat but I failed to fully comprehend what it represented. Only after I read a transcript of Steve Yegge’s recent talk in which he briefly mentioned it I realized the significance of this service.

Cloudy, With a Chance of Rain

    http://simeons.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 06/ 24/ cloudy-with-a-chance-of-rain/

Xconomy put together a cloud computing event at Akamai’s HQ in Cambridge today. The location was appropriate since Akamai was one of the first companies to work on computing in the cloud or, more specifically, at the edge of the network. I spoke on a panel with Google, IBM, Microsoft and Sun.

I added a few more dice styles to Rollrs gaming dice bag. Liquid Gold, Emerald, Iolite, and Sketch Get lucky at rollr.appspot.com, like the new slogan :) Remember that this is a personal web blog. With that in mind, rest assured that its content does not reflect the position or opinion of my respective employers or academic institutions.

    http://dalelane.co.uk/ blog/ ?p=283

Yesterday was the end of Mashed 08 - the annual London hackday from BBC Backstage. I saw last week that there was going to be a “social responsibility” category in the hack challenge, and decided that a CurrentCost hack was in order!

Winning at the shell game: iPython on Google App Engine

    http://aralbalkan.com/ 1380

iPython is an awesome extended Python shell that gives you goodies like tab completion for instances, history tracing (so you can easily copy interactive sessions as doctests), etc. And, if you install it, your Django project on Google App Engine will automatically start using it instead of the regular python shell when you use ./manage.py shell.

    Rollr Update 1.23

    http://www.jforsythe.com/ jforsytheblog/ 2008/ 06/ 18/ RollrUpdate123.aspx

I wanted to make good on a few of the updates I promed to make in Rollr. Rollr Screenshot Today I added the ability to change your dice skins, and a few performance enhancements. Also, I didn't realized I had published the first version with all the Fireworks source PNG's and not the optimized PNG files.
