    Carter Beats the Devil by Glen David Gold (book) is in development now for AMC. It is rumoured that the project will be ready for the 2009 pilot season. The film rights for Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series have been optioned by Universal Pictures. They are reportedly planning to start with book one, The Eye of the World.

    We talked about horror for kids, and now one of our favorite picks, Goosebumps, may be coming to the big screen, courtesy of Columbia Pictures. The writing team of Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander are in talks to create a screen adaptation, based on the books written by R.L. Stine.

    The middle-grade book series Goosebumps by R. L. Stine is going to become a live-action movie produced by Columbia Pictures. According to Cynopsis Kids, the Goosebumps movie will likely feature unknown young actors as the leads, with well-known actors in supporting roles–just as the Harry Potter movies did.

    The popular children’s series of horror books by R.L. Stine, ‘Goosebumps’, is going to be turned into at least one feature film.  The rights to the series of books were picked up by Sony Pictures who already has two screenwriters working on the script.
