graphics

Graphics are visual representations in some medium on some canvas. Graphics can be functional, representative or artistic. Computer generated graphics include raster and vector graphics. 3 D graphics became popular in the 1990s for gaming, multimedia and animation. Graphics are used in advertising, marketing and on websites and in magazines to attract attention and grab the reader. Business presentations rely on graphics like charts and graphs to show visually the impact of business trends and conditions. Web design is largely based on the use of graphics as is much of the wedding photography found online.

Graphics blogs include design discussion areas for graphic artists, tips and techniques for solid graphic design and listings of sources and resources for graphics. All Graphic Design hosts a blog that includes links to a variety of graphic artists.
