The tag "Greek" is a term used to describe a person who originates from Greece. Greece is located in south-eastern Europe on the Balkan Peninsula. Greece has a large number of islands (approximately 1400) giving it a coastline that is 14,880 km long. Greece is situated off a total of 5 seas; the Aegean Sea, the Ionian Sea, the Myrtoa Sea, the Sea of Crete, and the Mediterranean Sea.


Greek is also popularly used in conjunction with history. Greek history is the history of the Greek people. The Greek people have inhabited the area of the modern state of Greece since the around 1900 BC when the Mycenaeans (the first Greek-speaking tribe) invaded the area. Greek history spans the Neolithic and Bronze Ages. The Ancient Greece, Byzantine Empire, and Ottomon Rule periods are of significant interest. Greek tourism provides significant revenue for the Greek people. Holidays in Greece are the fourth most popular destination in the European Union. Greece has an estimated population of 11.3 million, but it receives 16 million tourists each year. Tourism accounts for 15% of Greek Gross Domestic Product. There are many guides available in shops and online that give a low-down on Greece Travel.


Greek is also a US drama series made by the ABC network that follows students at the fictional Cyprus-Rhodes University. Weekend Watchers provide a useful recap service on their blog.
