Many businesses are going green. A green business certification can be obtained by addressing ten areas of interest recognized by the IGBC (Institute for Green Business Certification).

A reduction of solid waste, eco-friendly purchasing, recycling, cutting back emissions, diminishing office waste, buying used or recycled material, energy efficiency, handling of potential pollutants, cutting back on chemical use, preventing pollution and conserving water are guidelines recognized in Canada, U.S.A, and South and Central America.

There are many benefits to becoming green certified such as better public image, attracting new customers and saving money.
