By Harry McCracken, Blogger, Technologizer iPhone developer Armin Heinrich has released an application for the iPhone with two noteworthy characteristics: 1) Its primary function is to display a handsome glowing red jewel on your iPhone’s screen. 2) It sells on Apple’s App Store for $999.99, thereby explaining its name: I Am Rich.

PC World’s Harry McCracken Teams Up with FM FM Harry McCracken Technologizer 06.14.2008 CNET’s coverage: “A month after announcing his resignation from PC World magazine, tech journalism veteran Harry McCracken has announced a new venture: Technologizer, an online destination for general technology news and analysis.

When Harry McCracken announced he was leaving PC World last month, I was a little curious, but not entirely surprised. Even as Editor-in-Chief, he seemed to be the most "with it" regarding new web technology, and PC World seems so inexorably tied to hardware that I actually quit reading them some time back, figuring any major news hits a gadget blog anyway.

Harry McCracken, the PC World editor who left the magazine after daring to criticize big advertiser Apple, then rejoined when then CEO Colin Crawford was faced with backlash, left the magazine again in May to work on his own thing. Now, his own thing has a name: It’s Technologizer, and it’ll be an indie tech site launching this summer.
