For many Americans health insurance and health care coverage are out of reach. It is estimated by the White House that more than 30 million citizens can’t obtain health care insurance, and 14,000 more Americans lose health insurance every day.

The current health insurance reform bill focuses on three key elements: providing more security to those with insurance, providing insurance for those without it, and slowing the rise of costs for health care insurance. Congressional debates continue on health care reform with taxation issues, health insurance costs and expanding coverage among the many debated points.

The White House hosts a health insurance blog with the latest on the bill passing, background information and contention points for voting. The site is rich with information, but also mainly focuses on the White House’s point of view on health care insurance reform.
