High heels are essentially footwear, where the heel is higher than the toe. High heeled shoes are typically worn by females and are thought to make the legs look more toned and attractive.

Men now can be seen with high heels as well with whats called the Cuban heel, and even the cowboy boot.

Some of the many different shapes for high heels include pump which is the court shoe, stiletto, blade, wedge, block and tapered.
