OC Deals —

I’m hoping maybe you readers out there can help. I would like to write about the cheapest and/or best place to buy a Christmas tree in Orange County, but I actually don’t know the answer. Last year, our favorite locally owned tree lot disappeared, and all we could find for the $20-25 bucks I wanted to spend were ...19 hours ago -

I can honestly say that I am pretty handy around the house. If something needs to be fixed or remodeled, I make an attempt at it. I’ve done everything from sheetrock and paint to re-finishing my kitchen cabinets. If I get stuck and need some direction, my first call is usually to my dad (my [...]19 hours ago -

youre right - the 2 and 4 positions in a normal 5 way actually make contact with the 2 discrete positions on both sides of them... another switch (say a push pull already in his possession) with the std 5 way could substitute for the mid position.20 hours ago -

I just mount it vertically in a vice and with a strip of sandpaper I sand it by by pulling the paper back and forth holding it close to the wood. Same motion as shoe shining. You can change the roundness by changing the distance between your hands. Wide for flatter curve and narrow gets you a sharper curve.1 day ago -

Your paint work looks great. Excellent save on the router bite. You made a great looking axe. Then you put those pieces of mesquite on there. Those are a deal killer for me. Chrome and that junior pickguard Ian recommended will bring you home.2 days ago -

Those are the old style Dunlop ones, right? Id imagine if you use a properly sized and sharpened drill bit with the area to be drilled taped over with painters/masking tape, it would go alright. Just go slow.2 days ago
