Hosted PBX is an internet phone device that controls a system that routes inbound and outbound calls received or made by the business. This type of telecommunications control is essential to businesses. The systems have become more advance. The system requires minimal equipment, slight programming and a connection to the World Wide Web both wired and wirelessly.

The call volume for a Hosted PBX is controlled by a central processing unit that can direct the calls. There is an internal IP telephony switching network. The network is programmed for routing to all extensions and all users are able to have voicemail boxes.

The ability of managed hosting services are extended with the new capability of system setup that allows more control. The remote hosted PBX gives the business owners or its manager that ability to fully control the employees activity with inbound and outbound calls even if the employee works from home. It is also very useful for large call centers as well.
