Apple has quietly re-released the latest version of iTunes, 8.0.1, for Mac OS X. According to an internal support bulletin, the update is to correct issues with connecting to the iTunes Store. Specifically, some users receive a “generic -50 error” when attempting to connect to the iTunes Store.

Poor Gwen Stefani, I know just how you feel. It's just not as easy as it used to be is it?
