At the end of July, I posted about a case of Facebook activism from Canada using a beer seller called the 'ice cold beer man' - that I now use as a case study in presentations. Essentially catering giants Aramark, which held the catering concession for the Toronto Blue Jays (baseball) sacked McMahon for selling two beers to a 22 year old mystery shopper without asking her for her ID.

I want to quickly tell you that I am a sucker for vintage color photographs. Especially if they are from around the World War II era. I don’t know why, but I am drawn to them like a moth to a flame.

Over on Facebook, 16,000+ people have signed up to support the 'Ice Cold Beer Guy.' Who is that? That's Wayne McMahon, a beer seller at Toronto Blue Jays (baseball) games who has gained a cult following among fans (see YouTube clip above).

The Jays continue to get bowled over by shitty teams like they were a toddler in Kimi Raikkonen's path (zing!), and, much like my lazy friend Parkes here, I'm going to skip the pathetic post-game groping for answers to why we're even still paying attention, and head straight for something that didn't get boring sometime during Euro 2008.

...and man oh man is it warm outside. It's currently 89 degrees Fahrenheit, with 42% humididity - so it feels like its 91 degrees Fahrenheit. Can you imagine it feeling like 91 degrees in July! Maybe Al Gore was right, maybe we have doomed ourselves, oh nooooooooo. Let me tell you, though it's hot, I have braved the heat.
