This is a fun guessing game has been well received by the readers of this blog. This name tent was created by a workshop participant from one of my ACH classes this summer. Can you guess the name? I’ll share the name and the first person to guess correctly in the next post.

This idea map (#120 within this blog) is featured in today’s Mindjet Monthly Newsletter with a little twist. Mindjet added a video clip of my description of this application to their newsletter. We filmed this in January when I was in San Francisco for the VizThink conference.

One of the features of my website is found on the “Book” Page. This feature is the ability for anyone to upload a pdf of an idea map so that it could be viewed on my website. Most people have emailed those files to me directly and I put them up myself — until now. A few weeks ago Michael Huxley posted this map on my website.

In my September 19, 2008 posting, I talked about the HSMAI conference in D.C. I spoke at two weeks ago. This is a follow up to that posting on a more personal note. I went to the conference not knowing a soul. I was fortunate enough to meet some veterans of this organization who took me under their wings.

This past weekend celebrated the 2-year anniversary of the release of the Idea Mapping Book published by John Wiley & Sons. The publication of this book has taken me on an unexpected journey. I’ve had the privilege of teaching for many new clients around the globe, and more importantly YOU (the readers of the book and this blog) are more successful as a result.

Last week I was privileged to speak at the HSMAI National Conference in Washington, D.C. This organization offers three conferences per year to meeting planners. What differentiates HSMAI is that there is no fee for attendees. I had 90 people attending a 75-minute Idea Mapping session.

I’m very excited to announce two open public Idea Mapping Workshops in India. Classes will be taught by Jamie Nast on January 12-13, 2009 in Pune (the birthplace of Certified Idea Mapping Instructor, Kaizad Irani) and January 16-17, 2009 in Jaipur. Registration is required at least 6 weeks in advance.
