IVA or Individual Voluntary Arrangement is a process that allows debtors to prioritize their debt repayment.

Urgent and important creditors are paid first and foremost and if the individual still has any monies left after paying necessary living expenses, then the rest of the creditors can be paid in appropriate portions.

Individual Voluntary Arrangement is done in contract form to ensure payments will be made as agreed upon by all parties.

Individual Voluntary Arrangement is a way for people to avoid bankruptcy. It is not unlike debt consolidators in that it is simply an arrangement to get the debtors creditors paid off as swiftly as possible.
