American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, known informally as J Lo, was born on July 24^th 1969.  J Lo began her dancing career as a "fly girl" on the television show In Living Color.  J Lo had her first leading role in the biographical movie about Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez, Selena, in 1997 for which she earned an Alma Award as outstanding actress. After several high-profile romances, including with actor Ben Affleck, J Lo married singer Marc Anthony; she gave birth to twins on February 22, 2008.

In 2010, Jennifer Lopez became a judge on the hit TV show "American Idol." It is reported that J Lo will return to season 11 of the American Idol with fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.  J Lo and husband Marc Anthony have also started a Latin American Singing Competition called Que Viva.  This along with many other projects on her plate had J Lo unsure of her commitment to American Idol.

J Lo along with Cee-Lo Green and America X-Factor judge Nicole Scheringer attended the 3rd annual music festival London’s Summertime Ball which took place June 13^th 2011.   J.Lo wore a matching boot and skirt ensembles in a snakeskin design.  J Lo has been promotnig in the UK and US her newest single ‘On the Dance Floor’.  This has helped her song  top the UK charts.
