jesus christ
Jesus Christ—a first-century Jewish leader, believed by Christians to be the Messiah and the Son of God—is one of the most popular topics on the web today. A large portion of the blogosphere is run by Christians of various stripes and traditions, writing how Jesus’ teachings can be applied to different aspects of modern life—from interpersonal conflicts to family life to politics. Some bloggers use their sites to worship Jesus, to explicate his teachings, and to evangelize unbelievers.
Other bloggers spend time debating “the historical Jesus.” These debates generally center around the Gospels, the four New Testament documents which the church has historically believed to be authoritative accounts of Jesus’ life. While some skeptics contend that the Gospels are historically unreliable, many Christian apologists can be found arguing for the historicity.
It is becoming increasingly common for church websites to include blogs, usually written by pastors, exhorting congregants to follow Jesus’ teachings throughout the week.

Error is like leaven of which we read, a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Truth mixed with error is equivalent to all error, except that it is more innocent looking and, therefore, more dangerous. God hates such a mixture! Any error, or any truth-and-error mixture, calls for definite exposure and repudiation. ...22 hours ago -

Our God is a Jealous God

Jealousy is not something that is looked favorably upon in our culture. When the “green eyed monster” rears it’s ugly head it can bring great harm to relationships and lives, and has been at the root of any number of murders. And yet, God describes Himself this way. Why? It seems in some respects to be an ...1 day ago -

You know there are two great plagues that have distressed the church of Christ and it will never be quite free from them; a multitude of hypocrites on a fair day, and a multitude of apostates on a foul day. - Robert Traill 1642 – 17161 day ago -

A Christian, if he has not a care, may be proud of his very humility. It is hard starving this sin, because it can live on almost nothing. . . . Be much in meditation on death and judgment. A serious and frequent meditation on death will be a means to kill pride. Ask yourself: “What is man, but a little living ...1 day ago -
