Water dragon
http://alunfoto.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 04/ water-dragon.htmlA couple of weeks ago I had a very productive day on a stony beach, despite cold winds, salt spray and occasional rain. The K10D and the DA* lens performed flawlessly, and I spent hours playing with the surf over the rocks. I took many abstract shots like the below, but they need a lot of time to grow on me before I can decide which ones to go on with.

Cleaning a Flektogon 35mm (chrome barrel) ... (3/3)
http://k10dpentax.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ cleaning-flektogon-35mm-chrome-barrel_…Now, time for the big cleaning. I tried at first with the optical lens cleaning fluid, then i had to go on with the Zippo fuel. Using the "cotton fiocs" first, and the micro fiber cloth after, it has been quite easy to wipe out the haze from the inner element of the front cell ... 21.

Cleaning a Flektogon 35mm (chrome barrel) ... (2/3)
http://k10dpentax.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ cleaning-flektogon-35mm-chrome-barrel_…... Continued from previous post. 7. I focused on infinite the lens, fully opened the diaphragm (don't know if required, but, just in case of ...), and started to unscrew the outer ring ... For safety reasons, instead of fixing the lens and turning the compass, i hold the compass strongly, and turned the lens on its rear cap, to be sure i didn't scratch the front element ...

At first, apologies for the multi-part post, but i have to cope with the 6K characters Blogger limitations ... A few months ago, i got a Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35 f/2.8 (the chromed one) in "mint condition" from an eBay seller.

My Idea of a K1000D
http://ricehigh.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ my-idea-of-k1000d.htmlHaving seen the ultra success of the ASUS Eee PC (or called the EPC), this let me think about smart marketing decision is always the key way to success for a company. Even for a weaker company like Pentax, which is actually always lagging behind in the competition, should and could think more about

Himeji Safari & Amusement park : Pt.4
http://photoshumi.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ himeji-safari-amusement-park-pt4.htmlJust before a strong rain hit us, I took this photo of the Ferris Wheel at Himeji Amusement Park with the Auto Tamron 35mm 2.8 M42 lens. It's quite gloomy and daunting, just the way I like it. The rest of the photos were also taken from the car with the Auto Tamron while going home at sunset.

Himeji Safari & Amusement park : Pt.2
http://photoshumi.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ himeji-safari-amusement-park-pt2.htmlPart two of my adventures at Himeji Safari Park. Most of these images were taken while in the driving section, some were with the window up (they're the rules) and some with the window down (me breaking those rules). For the long range shots, I used the very cheap Pentax FA 70-200 f/4-4.5 lens and I'm very happy with the results.
