Kate Hudson gave birth to her second child, a healthy baby boy, on Sunday in Los Angeles.  Kate Hudson also has a son named Ryder who is seven years old from her first marriage to Black Crowes lead singer Chris Robinson.  This is Kate Hudson’s first child with Matt Bellamy, the lead singer of the British indie rock band Muse; they began dating last year and were engaged to be married on April 27^th 2011.  Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy just finished purchasing a home in the Pacific Palisades. The house has 7000 square feet and was purchased at 5.3 million dollars.

Kate Hudson has been in over 20 movies; her first movie was a 1998 movie called Desert Blue.  Her breakout role was that of the rock groupie Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe's film Almost Famous. Kate Hudson has been singing and dancing since she was a little girl.  Kate's mom, Goldie Hawn, and her long-time partner Kurt Russell are her biggest fans. Kate Hudson decided to not attend the New York University and jump right into acting. Kate Hudson calls call Kurt “pa” and is not very close to her biological dad, Bill Hudson, who was in the band the Hudson Brothers in the 70’s.
 Kate Hudson was named one of the '50 Most Beautiful People in the World' by People Magazine in 2000. Kate Hudson Graduated from Crossroads, a Santa Monica performing arts school, in 1997.
