key

There are many ways to define the word key.

A key can be what a person uses to open the door to their house, car, or office building. In fact, the key can come in many forms, such as metal or magnetic, either capable of opening what usually remains locked and safe from intruders. A key can also be electronic, such as an electronic activation key that is needed to load a full version of software onto someone's computer.

Aside from the unlocking of many doors, the word key can also mean many other things. It can stand for the tone of music being played or sang, in addition to being one of the 88 keys on a piano producing these melodic sounds. Also, If there is something a person wants to highlight, they can say its the pertinent or "key" part of their speech or presentation.

While this may not be an all-inclusive look at the word, hopefully one of these definitions can be the key to find what you are looking for on the Internet today.
