knitting
Knitting is a functional art form that uses a variety of stitches to create something out of a single strand of yarn. While knitting was once considered to be an old-fashioned or maternal hobby (i.e. grandmothers knitting sweaters or expectant mothers knitting booties), there has recently been a renaissance.
Twenty- and thirty-somethings are taking up knitting in large numbers, and are not content to just knit tea cozies. Scarves, sweaters, hats, tops, and other accessories inspired by popular designers are a common knits, as are things you normally wouldn't associate with knitting, like stuffed monsters, arm slings, and even a womb.

Oh, this is what I have been waiting for. For seven months, to be exact. Fresh eggs. It is like Christmas everyday around here lately. We check the coop several times a day. Sometimes I sneak out by myself. There is something about opening up that door and seeing a beautiful blue-green egg laying in the hay. ...9 hours ago -

The self portrait I took with my Mac was the only shot of eleven that didnt show blotchy skin, eye bags, or a myriad of other sags. Note the careful positioning of the hands, and the use of lighting to smooth away wrinkles.
