The L.A. Lakers are the National Basketball Association team, who play out of the city of Los Angeles. Since the Lakers have established a dynasty winning multiple NBA championships — and making for themselves a name as one of the truly elite teams in professional basketball — tickets have become something of a premium for fans. When this team plays basketball people from around the country and the world attend, and these sporting events are usually sold out. The city of Los Angeles has one of the NBA’s most devoted fan bases, and the city government is equally supportive of the team.

When the Lakers play, many of the fans are celebrities, high profile individuals, and the fabulously wealthy. Some people go to the games in the hopes of seeing Jack Nicholson (a frequent attendee) or another celebrity or famous person. Others attend out of a love of the sport or to show fan appreciation. When a game is held, the entire city develops an atmosphere of excitement, and traffic in the area around the Staples Center can become a tangled mess. But for the willing diehards, there is still nothing like cheering for L.A.’s favorite sons. Go Lakers!
