When I originally tried to lease at Peakveiw Place apartments I told them I couldn\'t do anything longer than a 6 month lease, and at first that was fine with them, we went over everything with the leasing agent, 30 day notice to vacate, etc...

I just moved into a new apartment 2 months ago. Before we moved in we told the landlord that the heater/air conditioner unit was very loud and that we wanted it fixed. We put it on paper that this was a problem and needed to be addressed. The heater unit is in the master bedroom and is so loud that we are not able to sleep when it runs.

I have been living in my apartment for 4 months now. The problem is that the woman below me smokes cigarrets and my entire apartment smells like it. I told the land lord and they adviced me that it is legal to smoke in the apartment and to cover these two vents that would bring it it, so I did that.

Can my landlord ask me to replace all mini blinds that have been bent before we move out. They did an inspection and asked the carpets be cleaned and all bent mini blindes to be replaced. We were planning on cleaning our carpets but we cannot afford to replace the mini blinds as we will already be spending $200 on the capet cleaning.
