Britain presents territorial claim to UN August 28th, 2008 - 5:12 am ICT by IANS - London, Aug 28 (Xinhua) Britain Wednesday formally presented its territorial claim over south Atlantic Ascension Island to the UN.The Island is already part of the British overseas territory of St Helena.

Country’s landmass has increased by more than 386 square miles since 1973, and could gain another 1,000 sq km by 2050 due to freak environmental conditions. Washington, Feb 13 (ANI): A new research has determined that humans had inhabited Beringia, which now lies submerged under the icy waters of the Bering Strait, for almost 20,000 years, before stepping into the New World. Scientists from the University of Florida (UF) Genetics Institute carried out the research.
