For many people, some of the most comfortable mattresses they have ever slept upon are latex mattresses. Some of the great features of a latex mattress include little to no motion transfer between sleeping partners, a much cooler sleep surface because of the distribution of tiny pinhole-sized air bubbles distributed throughout that act as somewhat of a ventilation system, the ability of the natural latex to be both soft and supportive, the latex foam conforming to the shape of the individual sleeper's body contours for the easing of stress and pressure on trigger points, and much, much more.

Latex mattresses were introduced here in the United States sometime back in the 70's, but only in the last decade have they gotten as much traction as they have already enjoyed for quite some time in the European countries. Natural latex mattresses are very elastic and extremely durable, lasting way beyond the generally recommended 5 to 7 years for changing your mattress. The latex mattress may indeed last up to and beyond 20 years.
