Once you or your company has a set of leads, you must make sure you assign them to the appropriate steward. Quite simply, lead distribution is part and parcel to making sales. It is the process of getting the right leads or the right amount of leads into the right hands, so-to-speak.
For example, if you have a call center and you have a guy who is from Brazil and speaks Portuguese, you will most likely want to send him any Portuguese or Brazilian contacts, leads, or phone numbers. If you have someone in your call center who is an avid snowboarder, you can send him or her leads that have indicated that they have that same interest or hobby.
If you don't correctly distribute your leads, you or your company will have a classic case of "Burning the house to roast the pig." You are wasting valuable time and resources and you or your company will be inefficient and unproductive.
