leasing

For years and years, leasing was considered the Devil's Cabana Boy. Whether you were leasing a car or leasing a condo or leasing some office space, everyone thought leasing was of the devil because you never actually OWNED the asset. You just "rented" it and had to give it back when your lease was up. It was never really your asset. Furthermore, you usually got dinged with several fees if you – in any way – broke your lease agreement.

Well, this is all changing now.

Anyone who was leasing a home, for example, during the Housing Crisis now has their pick of great homes. They do not need to sell their home in order to move into a new home and are therefore able to take advantage of the "Buyer's Market" left in the wake of the Housing Crisis. Other people would like to take advantage of this Buyer's Market, but they need to unload their old house first. And this is one problem renters and leasers do not have.
