    http://www.tongfamily.com/ 2008/ 09/ the-perfect-home-theater-system-using-macbo…

Been experimenting with the Macbook’s as a way to drive a home theater. it is actually quite awesome what you can do assuming you really want something easy to use. Here is what I’ve found: MacBook Pro’s has DVI and can convert to VGA.

    What I Am Doing Tonight

    http://pottedfrog.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 09/ what-i-am-doing-tonight/

letterboxing bag Seems like lately I am starting my posts with something other than the title suggests, but I’ll get to that. After my last post someone asked if I would show the supplies we take with us when hunting for letterboxes.  So that is what you see above.  We put it all in the orange

    Why I Love Letterboxing

    http://pottedfrog.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 09/ 07/ why-i-love-letterboxing/

Before I get to the letterboxing, I have to tell you about a recipe I tried this weekend that I got from Heidi at Foxgloves, Fabric and Folly.  I made it for the picnic lunch at our church campout, and it was an enormous hit.  When I told Heidi I was going to use the recipe, I mentioned that I have

Rock and Roll and more of those little hidden boxes...

    http://blogs.technet.com/ chrisavis/ archive/ 2008/ 09/ 07/ rock-and-roll-and-mo…

Last night I went with my wife and a friend to see Santana in concert (also why I missed blogging yesterday). Carlos Santana is an amazing guitar player. He played the classics and some tunes I was not familiar with. I told my wife about 1/2 way through that I would like to see Michelle Branch show up and sing the song she recorded with Santana.

Texas is flippin' hot! and Letterboxing....

    http://blogs.technet.com/ chrisavis/ archive/ 2008/ 08/ 22/ texas-is-flippin-hot…

Wow!    I can't believe I lived in the Dallas area for 20+ years and that I missed it when I moved. Let me rephrase - I do miss Dallas...I just don't miss triple digit heat indexes and 95% humidity. I arrived yesterday at about 6am when it was still (relatively) cool outside. Humidity was down too.

    http://www.wisebread.com/ hunting-for-treasure-frugal-fun-rich-rewards

By Mary Webber Who doesn't love a treasure hunt?   From the mysterious map where X marks the spot to the chest full of gold and jewels, the idea of solving a puzzle and receiving a rich reward is still tempting.  There are three kinds of modern-day treasure hunts popular now,aa letterboxing,

    http://laughingorcaranch.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ letterboxingrio-grande-bosque.h…

I'm behind on posting photos and keeping up with our activities around here. We've been busy.Last week we did some letterboxing in Albuquerque at the Rio Grande Nature Center. A group of girl scouts placed 3 boxes in the Bosque and we had a fun afternoon looking for their boxes using their clever clues.

    Rum River Log Roller

    http://betteronme.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 08/ rum-river-log-roller.html

Larger ImageTHE RUM RIVER LOG ROLLER LETTERBOX has been missing for about three and a half years now. I originally placed it on September 26, 2004. I've always had plans of replacing it, but haven't gotten to it yet. I made it to commemorate the historic town of Anoka, MN, as well as the history of logrolling on the Rum River.

    Letterboxing in Wisconsin and Minnesota

    http://2passthetorch.com/ 2008/ 08/ 04/ letterboxing-excursions-wisconsin-and-mi…

Our first letterboxing excursion as a family took place along the Gandy Dancer Trail in Danbury, Wisconsin, but we were unsuccessful in finding the letterbox (although the fun afternoon with buddies was still well-worth the attempt!) But in Mankato, Minnesota, we found two great letter boxes, using the letterboxing tips I shared last month.
