Overall, however, liberals believe that steps must be taken to ensure freedom and equal opportunities for all members of a society, and that social change should be enacted into law in order to protect individual rights.
In the blogosphere, liberals generally oppose themselves to conservatives in political and cultural debates. Just as there are moderate liberals, so are there extremists; in the politically-charged climate of the online world, extreme opinions and pundits can sometimes drown out more moderate voices.
