A librarian is the name we give to the person who looks after a library. Often referred to as an information specialist or information professional, a librarian is an often overlooked but always needed member of the social world we live in. The traditional stereotype of a librarian is a quiet, sometimes shy person who has a passion for books and is academically trained to a high standard. Librarians deal with categorized topics. For example, a librarian would keep categorized books and resources on topics ranging from weddings to fishing.

Librarian blog searches will more than likely pull up sites designed to aid the librarian in their occupation. The Library Journal blog – is no exception. As you may expect, this site is particularly well laid out, with instant access to the archives of the site itself and with its own search engine. Any information the viewer needs is readily accessible.

I’m reading The Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman.  I love Alice Hoffman, but dislike magical realism.  How is that possible? Also, I feel like the books I’ve been reading of hers have been more about hardcore drug use, but I don’t think they were, like, the last two in a row, so.  It just happened that way. ...
