Lovin’ Linzers Tucked back into a corner of downtown Weisbaden’s shopping center, the tiny bakery is far from the bustle of nearby shoppers. It is not one of the numerous stands that lines the pedestrian zone, selling piping hot pretzels for fifty pfennings.

My sister Pat, her husband Rob, and baby Andy, my Mom visiting from Thailand, and my Papa, all came to stay with us for Christmas. We had a great time together. The preparations involved tons of gifts for each other, and for the two little boys. They were so excited they woke up at dawn.

To all my dear readers, I love all Christmas songs, from the gorgeously melancholic "We Three Kings" to the wistfully optimistic "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas". Very few songs make me want to sing them out loud, but play a Christmas carol and I'll start humming the words, whether I'm in a department store elevator or in a restaurant.

It is so hard to find a recipe for sugar free cookies that don't turn out gross or weird. These Linzer cookies are awesome! They are decorative, but also sweet and light. The preserves give them a rich decadence, and if you use the right brand you can't tell that they are sugar free! You can use any flavor; I tried Strawberry and Apricot preserves, which were delicious.
