Oliver Stone, Historian? Don't Make Me Laugh! He's a FILM MAKER people! Film makers HAVE been known to take small to considerable license with the facts when making films of historical events, and people. You want total, or at least reasonable, accuracy, and detail, watch a documentary, or wait for a mini-series.

Alexander the Movie: What a Mad Macedonian Thinks

Alexander the Movie: What a Mad Macedonian Thinks Stone Turkey Gobbles Up Scenery! What I thought of Oliver Stone's film, Alexander has nothing to do with that line. It was just too good for one of my sense of humor to pass up.

    Epis Pinot Noir 2006

Macedon region provides some great wine and this is a fine example. It has a lovely dark red colour and a nose that starts off a little disconcerting but after 20 minutes or so settles down. Initially it has dried herb aromas with licorice and quite a bit of marachino cherry.

Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir 2006

    http://wino-sapien.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 03/ bindi-block-5-pinot-noir-2006.html

Macedon, Victoria. 13.5%. Diam. Approx $A88. From a warm, dry and early season comes a wine that will be slow to show its true grace and charm. Seemingly more reserved and needing a little more patience than it's older and very accomplished sibling. This is lovely, bright and fleshy, though there is some sternness and chalk to the tannins.
