    Libertarianism: Purists vs. Pragmatists

    http://www.libertymaven.com/ 2008/ 09/ 17/ libertarianism-purists-vs-pragmatists…

I’ve been reading a lot of griping lately about how the Libertiarian “purists” are preventing the party from ever gaining traction, and the self-described pragmatists are compromising important principles in order to get the drooling masses to join ranks.  So it was quite fitting that Mary Ruwart

OR……..the Nannies are now out of control! Monday, I came across 3 separate articles all along the same lines of changing the behavior of the people to bring them into conformity with some control-freaks ideology.

Colorado Businesses Don’t Want Mandatory Health Insurance

    http://www.healthinsurancecolorado.net/ blog1/ 2008/ 06/ 25/ colorado-businesses…

An article from the Grand Junction Sentinel indicates that Colorado Western Slope businesses agree that we should have a mandate that all Colorado residents obtain some form of health insurance, but not surprisingly the majority of them do not want a mandate that forces businesses to provide health insurance for their employees.

    Mandatory Health Insurance Not Likely

    http://www.healthinsurancecolorado.net/ blog1/ 2008/ 06/ 10/ mandatory-health-in…

I believe that everyone should have health insurance. And one way or another, I believe that we should all pay for it - either through taxes that are used to fund a national health care system, or through mandates that require everyone to purchase health insurance, with the government picking up the tab for those who cannot afford it on their own.

Individual Health Insurance Won’t Work For Everyone

    http://www.healthinsurancecolorado.net/ blog1/ 2008/ 06/ 06/ individual-health-i…

Cato @ Liberty has posted an article espousing the view that the individual health insurance market protects sick Americans better than the small group health insurance market. My view is that health care - like police protection and public education - is a necessity and should therefore be afforded to all Americans as part of the tax-funded array of basic services that we all receive.

Universal Health Insurance: Just Don't Get Sick

    http://westernfrontamerica.com/ 2008/ 04/ 07/ universal-health-insurance-dont-si…

Okay, let's say that President Obama or Hillary is in office and Congress has passed a bill that requires everyone to have health insurance. Gas is up over $4.00 a gallon, food prices are sky high, and, if you've recently graduated from college, you are paying off loans at $1,000 per month. If you're a homeowner, you have a mortgage, property taxes, and a stack of other bills.
