An accomplished singer and actress, Amanda Leigh (Mandy) Moore is the quintessential "girl next door." Her friendly and warm features are hard to resist, but she makes a point of keeping her public admirers at arm's length and avoiding any major tabloid controversies.

Mandy Moore got her big break when a FedEx employee with ties to Sony's Epic Records heard her recording songs in a public studio and put in a good word for her with the studio brass. A surprise record deal for the then 14-year-old quickly followed.

Perhaps in an effort to show her range as an overall performer, Mandy Moore shifted her attention from music to movies with a supporting role in the popular Anne Hathaway film The Princess Diaries (2000). She has since appeared in films like A Walk To Remember (for which she picked up an MTV Movie Award), Saved! and License To Wed.

Mandy Moore has been romantically linked to tennis superstar Andy Roddick and actor Zack Braff. She married her longtime boyfriend, singer-songwriter Ryan Adams on March 10, 2009 in Savannah, Georgia.
