marie antoinette

Tag details

Marie Antoinette was the Austrian-born queen of France's Louis XVI about whom many romantic legends have grown since she died on the guillotine on October 16, 1793.

Bloggers can be reviewing books about her. Or they may be reviewing the Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette, or presenting their own re-imaginings of the famous queen.

She's still, even today, being used as a metaphor for bloated excess, while admirers lament the loss of objects associated with her.

But don't be too sympathetic, for she's answering back with a blog of her own.
