I noticed that Canon put up the retail prices for the Canon 5D Mark II accessories.  Holy smokes!  I had to double check to make sure I wasn’t on the Canon Australia website.  Sure enough though, it’s US dollars.

David Ziser got his hands on the new 5D Mark II and has shared his thoughts on it’s performance, focused mostly on its ISO performance. If you’ve seen any of the early hands-on previews, the ISO performance certainly looks promising, and according to Ziser, 6400 ISO is the new 800 ISO: So how far could I go with the 5D Mk II?

Shorter Vincent: “5D Mark II just better than Nikon D3 at low light”. Now at a minimum, the 5D MK2 is pretty close, which is incredible to begin with, anything else is just gravy folks.

Focused only on photography, and minus some of the bells and whistles of it’s competitors (wink Canon 5D Mark II and that whole “live view” thing), the Sony A900 digital SLR is slowly building up a nice resume of reviews.

Reports are flooding in from the stable of photographers that have pre-ordered the Canon 5D Mark II.  It seems that the consensus is many US retailers will be getting the 5D Mark II this coming week.  I have yet to be able to confirm this with the larger retailers; however, I’ve seen many reports
