Masonry has existed since the beginning of time. As long as man has been constructing buildings from stone, there has been a need for stone masons. Today, stone masonry is more of a specialized craft. Stone masons often specialize in masonry restoration projects of old homes and structures as well as create ornate additions to buildings such as a porch or a chimney.

Craftsman of this trade are highly sought for help restoring ancient buildings as well. All these wonderful old structures that are hundreds or even thousands of years old need to be carefully restored to preserve them for the future.

Stone masonry may also include any craft that involves the use of bricks or stone to create a final product. It is a profession that will continue to be a cornerstone of our modern society.
