maxim

The word maxim is defined by Merriam-Webster as "a general truth, fundamental principle, or rule of conduct." However, for millions of readers in the United States and abroad, Maxim refers to the men's magazine which offers articles, photo galleries, and helpful "tips" for men and women on a monthly basis.

Maxim was first published in the United States in May 1997 with actress Krista Miller on the front cover. Since then, they've published over 100 issues, with its 100th immortalized in the desert outside of Las Vegas featuring cover girl Eva Longoria.

After premiering in the United States, Maxim is currently published in dozens of countries, including the India, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
