medical spas

Medical spas are one of a number of names for businesses that provide non-surgical cosmetic medical treatments and include laser clinics, skin clinics and other centers that are operated by a physician, or operate with some form of physician oversight. 

The use of technology differentiates med spas and laser clinics from traditional plastic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Laser hair removal, IPL and laser treatments, Fraxel, Thermage, Botox, Restylane and other popular cosmetic treatments are usually offered. 

With a move from traditional surgical solutions to non-surgical technology solutions, nonsurgical cosmetic medicine is gaining a greater share of the cosmetic medical marketplace and being offered in a growing number of medical practices as well as non-medical businesses like day spas.

Medical spas have embraced blogging as a means of communication with existing patients and blogs are commonly used for patient marketing.
