medication

Tag details

OTC medication can be purchased without any restriction, while prescription medicine must be prescribed by a licensed medical practitioner. Many medications these days have a generic version which may have the same result but costs less that the original brand version. Medications made from natural products are also available. Many people are wary of ingesting chemicals via a pharmaceutical medication unless it is for a very serious illness and they have no alternative.

The environmental impact of medication is causing concern as so much ends up in the waterways through human consumption and excretion or disposed of by hospitals through their waste systems. Many unwanted medications are just flushed down the toilet where our treatment plants, which were not designed to manage such substances, cannot filter them effectively. So if you worry about what medication you use, you should also care about how you dispose of it.

Medication
could mean a prescription pharmaceutical drug, an over-the-counter medicine or even natural remedies. The internet has opened up a whole new investigative tool for bloggers to check on their medication, what they can expect from its use, as well as any possible side effects.
