Mental health is the state of emotional well-being. People are beginning to realize taking care of their mental health is just as important as their physical health.

Mental and physical health and fitness are closely related. It is often argued that without one being in a healthy state, the other will not thrive.

In most people, a healthy body helps to keep the mind functioning like a well-oiled machine.

There are now mental health professionals who specialize in the level of cognitive well-being of their patients. Treatments for mental health disorders range from counseling and therapy to homeopathic medicine to prescription drugs.

Mental health disorders sometimes stem from traumatic experiences while others are simply inherited from family members.
