Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama was born on January 17th 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. She is the wife of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, and has two daughters (Malia and Sasha).

A graduate of both Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Michelle Obama worked for Chicago law firm Sidley Austin immediately after graduation. Subsequently, she worked on the staff of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley before helping her husband campaign for the Democratic nomination and eventually his successful 2008 presidential bid.

As the first black first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama has received substantial media attention since arriving in office. You can read about her in the blogosphere on The Huffington Post.
