mischa barton

Mischa Barton is an actress, best know for her work on the American TV series The O.C.. She was born January 24, 1986 in London, but was raised in New York starting at age five. She first began acting on Off-Broadway plays at age eight.

Besides The O.C., Barton has appeared in films such as Lawn Dogs, Notting Hill, The Sixth Sense, and The Oh in Ohio. TV credits include Once and Again and Fastlane.

Barton has been a spokesmodel for many well-known international brands, such as Calvin Klein, Neutrogena, Aeropostale, Dooney & Bourke, and Bebe. She is involved in various charitable organizations, including Climate Star (to fight global warming), SAFE (Skin Awareness For Everyone), and TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development).

Barton often carries the nickname "Mischa Fashionista" as she is often seen front-row at many Fashion Week shows. In June 2008 she created a 14-piece handbag collection for ASOS.com.
