are usually online games where the user is a fictional character who interacts with other fictional characters who are being controlled by other users at their computers. Each user is in control of their character's actions and conversation.

games like World of Warcraft and other browser games are quickly becoming a huge revenue generator. In fact, the annual revenue from such games is well over a billion dollars worldwide.

This trend has not gone unnoticed by gaming companies who are all quickly "jumping into the pool" with their own MMORPGs.

MMORPGs have also begun to bleed into the social networking realm as characters in these games can converse with other characters while playing games. Bloggers speaking about MMORPGs can be found at sites like mmorpg and qj.
