motor vehicle
A motor vehicle is a machine with a motor (or engine) used for transportation. Most commonly an internal combustion engine is used but electric or other motors can also be used. The vehicles are equipped with wheels and usually operate on roads. The motor vehicle term can be used in conjunction with automobiles (autos or cars), trucks (lorry), buses, motorboats, motorcycles or a motorized bicycle (moped); most commonly a motor vehicle refers to a car or truck. Generally there are motor vehicle laws in place to regulate right of way, responsibilities and rules of the road including speed limits.
Blogs on motor vehicles may cover traffic accidents, motor vehicle offenses and history databases for motor vehicles. Other motor vehicle blogs may include new or pending legislation, or point to websites that allow consumers to buy a new car. The National Motor Vehicle Title Information System is a national database to list cars badly damaged or written off to prevent consumers from unknowingly repurchasing such a vehicle.
