movie review
Most people love to talk about movies they've seen, even if it's to just give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. That accounts for much of the popularity of the tag movie review.
A movie review is an analysis of or commentary on a particular movie. Some sites compile reviews from a variety of sources, others ask readers for reviews and other sites use individual reviews. The tag may have broad usage, encompassing not only movies currently in theaters but also ones that are released on DVD. It will also cover the full spectrum of movies, from dramas to comedies to documentaries.
While one might consider being a movie reviewer one of the greatest jobs around, the quality of a movie review depends on knowledge of film as a whole or the subject matter of the movie.

Iron Man 3 Review: Disappointing With So Many Talky Scenes That Can Be Edited Out
—
Authority:
‘IRON MAN 3’ is quite disappointing for us. It’s definitely affected by Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) participation in “The Avengers”. He used to go solo, but “The Avengers” subjected him to the indignity of sharing the limelight with a bigger congregation of other superheroes. No wonder he’s ...1 week ago -
At Any Price Review: Zac EfronS Matinee Idol Good Looks CanT Save The Movie
—
Authority:
SINCE IT stars matinee idol Zac Efron, you’d think “At Any Price” is a romantic film like his last one, “The Lucky One”. But it turns out it’s not even like your typical escapist Hollywood movie set in some big city like New York or Los Angeles. It’s a serious drama about real people (farmers) and set in ...1 week ago -

To Sleep With a Vampire

Authority:
Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, however sometimes re-visiting a fond memory can be less than wonderful. Thats kind of my feeling after watching To Sleep With a Vampire for the first time since its release back in the early 90s. To Sleep With a Vampire is a remake of Dance of the Damned from 1989 by Katt Shea Rubin. ...1 week ago -
Movie Review: Nagaraja Chozhan MA MLA – Mani Darling.. Why?
—
Authority:
This review will not say why the movie is bad and how it could have been better. Rather, it will be a rant on why one of my most favourite directors should not have taken this movie. I consider Manivannan as one of the best in Tamil Cinema. His movies are far far better than the current crop of copycat directors who ...1 week ago -

*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by Vision Films. It is hard to recommend a film that borrows so heavily from others. William Peter Blattys The Exorcist shocked audiences seventeen years before The Exorcist III was released. Movie Review: A Werewolf Boy

Authority:
A Werewolf Boy is an exceptional film that’s been on my radar ever since it was announced (so by that timeline, I’ll get to watch Gwanghae, the Man Who Became King by the year 2037), and one that’s raked in some considerable accolades since its lauded release last fall. Despite this being a sophomore effort ...1 week ago -

I recently attended an advance preview of The Great Gatsby shown in 3D. While a lot of people will be familiar with F. Instead, heres my ...1 week ago -
Review: ‘Stories We Tell’ Is A Beautifully Fashioned Pastiche On Memory and Truth
—
Authority:
Memories have a way of perverting the truth. Over time, we idealize past events to better suit our present and recount them to so many others that the memories become altered, like in a game of telephone. Each person can interpret the same event differently, thus begging the question: what is the real truth? Sarah ...1 week ago -
