mozambique
Mozambique is a coastal nation in South East Africa bordering the likes of Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and South Africa to the North and West and to the East the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Although much of the country's recent history may be dominated by civil conflict Mozambique can look forward to a very bright future. Boasting some of the most unspoiled and beautiful coastal scenery in East Africa Mozambique is quickly asserting itself as a favourite Africa holiday destination and its incredible wealth of natural resources has boosted the economy to one of the most progressive in the continent.
Providing an ideal complement to a Tanzania or South Africa safari many travelers look to combine their time in the more established holiday destinations of Southern Africa with a relaxing escape in Mozambique.
The capital of Maputo is located on the South East coast of the country and is home to approximately 10 percent of the population.
