Samurai Noodle and Serious Pie
http://www.tongfamily.com/ 2008/ 09/ samurai-noodle-and-serious-pie/Abel introduced to me to Samurai Noodle. It is nearly impossible to find on the “reverse” side of Uwayjimaya. Really tasty and completely crowded with Japanese folks, so it must be good. The spicy chicken broth is amazing and you can order the ramen in three different ways, soft, medium and hard.

Fast and Frugal Recipe: Mediterranean Pizza Toast
http://ourfourpenceworth.com/ fast-and-frugal-recipe-mediterranean-pizza-toast/ …This is a really handy and yummy recipe we have been using a lot lately. It’s great as a snack or as a meal, and something the whole family is sure to love. The recipe is flexible, just as it is whenever making your only pizza. The cost of each slice probably comes to about 25 cents (depending on your toppings).

Confessions of a cheese judge
http://www.tomatom.com/ 2008/ 08/ confessions-of-a-cheese-judge-and-a-call-to-ac…First off I was late, dawdling this rainy morning. I missed the briefing and my lab coat was too small even for a ten year old child. On a bright note though, the hairnet was just perfect and I was wearing the correct all-terrain underwear and cashmere socks.

http://loveofoats.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 08/ 10/ wowza/I’m not feeling 100% today due to a completely fun and fabulous Saturday night, so I apologize for this post being less descriptive than most! The bachelorette party was a blast… We started out the night with a yummy and fun dinner, eaten outside :) My mom and MIL came along with my bridesmaids,

Addiction to Spinning?
http://loveofoats.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 22/ addiction-to-spinning/I loved the kettle corn popcorn that I had yesterday so much so I decided to repeat it again and have it as a mid-afternoon snack… I love the sweetness, but most of all, I love how it fills me up (and is a “snacky” food that takes a while to eat) with only 100 calories!

Sandwich Post # 19 (The Mona Lisa) Alidoro
http://flyboyz.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 21/ sandwich-post-19-the-mona-lisa-alido…When Ed Levine talks about food I generaly listen. So when he recently extolled the virtues of the sandwiches at Alidoro on Serious Eats I decided to go down to Soho and find out for myself just how good they really are. Pretty fucking good is the answer.

Yum-O
http://loveofoats.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 07/ 19/ yum-o/Bill and I decided to stay in and make dinner tonight so we decided on something quick, easy, and healthy… We grilled up some Jenny-O lean ground turkey burgers and topped them with part-skim mozarella cheese and hot sauce on whole wheat buns… On the side, we made an aspargus, corn, and red pepper

Georgian Cheese Bread
http://gourmeted.com/ 2008/ 05/ 16/ georgian-cheese-bread/When I saw the photo for this on the May 2008 Gourmet magazine, I knew I had to make it. How can I resist cheese? I’ve also been meaning to get into bread-making. I thought this would be a good start. Yes, I’ve made cinnamon rolls so many times, but it’s time to move on and progress towards my goals of baking a good French bread and soft pretzels.

Frankie’s 17 Clinton Street Sputino
http://flyboyz.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 04/ 23/ frankies-17-clinton-street-sputino/I think what’s easiest and most important to appreciate about Frankie’s Sputino is the simplicity of it’s food. On a recent lunch visit there with my girlfriend we had a small and very good meal with nothing overwhelming.
