NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) was started in November 2006 by Eden Kennedy of Fussy. Formed as an offshoot of NaNoWriMo, (National Novel Writing Month), it is largely responsible for overflowing feed readers in November. The challenge is stated simply as  Post every day for the month of November. That's all you have to do.

In 2007, Eden moved the program to a Ning Network. Numerous bloggers and companies donate prizes for the end of the month random prize drawings for those who complete the challenge. In March of 2008, the project went to a monthly format, with a topic sent out at the beginning of each month.
