New Hampshire Tax Increases put on Hold, For Now

    http://mpinkeyes.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ new-hampshire-tax-increases-put-on…

It’s an election year and nobody wants to raise taxes in an election year. Unless you are New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, then you are so sure of your re-election prospects that you have no problem raising taxes.

    Crisis

Do you care about American football league? I happened to not care about it even a little bit. But I was mistaken because apparently professional NFL games, and all that involve with them are extremely important.

    A Washington ban loophole?

    http://www.jacobgrier.com/ blog/ archives/ 1114.html

It’s not uncommon for business owners to look for creative ways to get around smoking bans. Remember Minnesota’s theater nights? What is unusual is a judge advising an offender on how to find a loophole: That’s what put [bar owner Frank] Schnarrs in court last Friday.

    One man's trash.....

    http://therightrant.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ one-mans-trash.html

The insanity of the pointless recycling hysteria, like Ted Kennedy's belt line, knows no bounds.... A council refused to collect rubbish from a 95-year-old war veteran who is nearly blind - because he put a ketchup bottle in the wrong bin.

    The Death-Gap myth

    http://therightrant.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ death-gap-myth.html

Despite the fact that John Edward's Two-Americas theory failed miserably to resonate with voters, lefties at Newsweek have identified a new angle to the Two-Americas meme...the death gap between educated and un-educated.... ...white men who did not graduate from high school were dying at a rate 2.9 times that of college grads in 1993—and at a rate 4.4 times higher in 2001.

Beaufort Moves a Step Forward to Nanny State

    http://www.carolinapoliticsonline.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ beaufort-moves-a-step-forwa…

In Beaufort we have another case of overbearing politicians imposing their personal will on the people of the city and throwing away the concept of private property. The council unanimously passed a preliminary ordinance to ban smoking in all indoor places open to the public as well as outdoor venues such as patio dining, stadiums, etc.

    I see Barack Obama rising

    http://britandgrit.com/ ?p=2464

Hi Brit, Once again our friend, Writer Chick, has inspired me to song: I see Barack Obama rising. I see trouble on the way. I see taxes ever climbing. The Nanny State is here to stay. Don’t go ’round tonight they’ll regulate your life, Barack Obama’s on the rise.

Up Yours, Cleveland Ame and I are originally from Cleveland, and we return there to visit relatives. One thing I will be sure we don't do is spend money in Cleveland for several years to come. Cleveland is one of those cities that uses traffic enforcement cameras as a revenue generator.
