    Stardust

    http://yalitlovers.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 14/ stardust/

We read Stardust by Neil Gaiman for May’s book/movie. We liked the movie and the changes that were made from the book only enhanced the story. I finally finished the book, and I do like the movie ending much better (yeah, non-cheesy happy endings get me every time).

New or old? Duffy or Lulu?

    http://carnys.wordpress.com/ 2008/ 05/ 13/ new-or-old-duffy-or-lulu/

Writing’s going well at the moment, which means that despite the dilemmas, I’m still getting words on the page. Todays puzzle: New or old? (Duffy or Lulu?) When should I start a new story and when are my efforts best spent on an existing, but unfinished one? I went the the former option.

    USA National Doodle Day

    http://foresthouse.livejournal.com/ 466664.html

Aw, look at Simon Pegg's drawing for National Doodle Day, (which benefits research about neurofibromatosis). It's so cute! Also it says that Pegg and Nick Frost are going to be doing a movie about road-tripping across America. SQUEE! Now that is one road-trip movie I will actually watch.

    Sandman: First Impression

Sandman: First Impression May 12th, 2008 11:27 AM by Luke Maciak I grew up on comic books. However, since I was growing up in post communist Poland my first comic book fascinations were stuff like Capitan Kloss, Funky Koval, and Thorgal. Especially the last two titles were bit more serious titles, with stories and themes that were not really aimed at kids.

Comic Books Resources is reporting the following: I can confirm that “Kick-Ass” has gone into preproduction. The script, based on Mark Millar and John Romita Jr’s “Kick-Ass” creator-owned comic from Marvel, is written by Stardust team Jane Goldman and Matthew Vaughn.

    Been Busy

    http://sallymurphy.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 05/ been-busy.html

Been Busy Blogging has taken a back seat these past few weeks, but now I’m back at my desk and ready to talk about what I’ve been doing. Firstly, I spent a week in Melbourne where I caught up with some long-lost rellies, caught trams and, most significantly, attended the CBCA National Conference.
